Enrollment for the Fall 2018 Semester of the NW Saturday Academy is now open.
Gather your crew and get ready to explore, challenge and innovate in the demanding and inspiring expanse we call space! The 2018/2019 FIRST® LEGO® League season requires you to work together to break out of your earthly constraints.
Do you have what it takes to go INTO ORBIT?
FIRST LEGO League challenges kids to think like scientists and engineers. During the INTO ORBIT season, teams will choose and solve a real-world problem in the Project. They will also build, test, and program an autonomous robot using LEGO® MINDSTORMS® technology to solve a set of missions in the Robot Game. Throughout their experience, teams will operate under FIRST LEGO League’s signature set of Core Values, celebrating discovery, teamwork, and Gracious Professionalism®.
The NW Saturday Academy FIRST LEGO League robotics team is welcoming new 3rd through 7th grade students for the 2018 season.
This year, we are partnering with the city-wide National Society of Black Engineers’ NSBE, Jr. Chapter and Howard University School of Engineering.
Sessions will be held on Saturday mornings from 9:00 am to 11:30 am at Howard University.
Thanks to our generous sponsors, we will have our lowest ever tuition this semester: $75 for ten sessions plus State Tournament Preparation. Financial aid is available; please call or email for details.
