Help the families displaced by the Peabody St NW Fire

200 residents were displaced by the devastating apartment building fire on Peabody Street on Saturday morning. We are used to seeing disaster strike other parts of the world; this fire is a crisis that affects families right here in our community.

The humanitarian efforts of the Red Cross provide comfort and hope to so many during their times of need. ¬†If you’d like to help, please donate to our local Red Cross chapter. ¬†Financial donations are most needed at this time; do not be tempted to try to donate the “stuff” you need to clean out of your basement.

Thank you to DC Fire and EMS who were able to rescue many individuals from this deadly situation.
